How to Setup and Test ConstantContact Plugin

Installation

Requirements:

1. Have a  Joomla! based website.
2. A constant contact account.
3. An email address(es) you can use to test

Procedure:
1. Purchase the ConstantContact Plugin from Intellispire

2.  Install purchased ConstantContact plugin on your Joomla! website.

  • Log-in ot the backend of your website: (eg. YourJoomlaDomain.com/administrator )
  • Go to Extensions > Install/Uninstall
  • Choose  "Package File" and brows for “plg_constantcontact.zip” file, then select "Upload File & Install".
  • Next go to Extensions > Plugin Manager
  • Look for the ConstantContact plugin, (may be close to end of list) select, and then edit plugin parameters in the box provided on the right side.
  • Note: username should be the same as the one you used when opening an account with ConstantContact.
  • Choose which "list" to add. The default list is “1”.
  • Then apply/save.
3. Create a trial account at ConstantContact at: http://www.constantcontact.com/index.jsp
4. Create an account on your website, and complete registration by selecting the link sent to your email.
5. Log-in to your ConstantContact trial account
  • Select Contacts TAB
  • Then view contacts, select ALL
  • You should be able to see email of the user who signed up at your Jommla! site.
